New Facts: Massachusetts voters cast primary ballots

Ed Markey voted late Tuesday morning at the Irish American Club in Malden with his wife, Dr. Susan Blumenthal. He urged voters across Massachusetts to turn out and said he felt very gratified by the response so far, noting some people stopped by to see him even if they were voting elsewhere.

Seth Moulton cast his ballot in Salem at the Mayor Jean A. Levesque Community Life Center, joined by his wife, Liz, and their two young daughters. He projected confidence despite trailing in public polls, framing the race as a push for new leadership and saying the energy on the ground reminded him of his 2014 upset. He said his day began around 4:30 a.m., with stops at polling places and businesses around the North Shore and plans to keep crisscrossing the state before polls closed.
