New Facts: Kamala Harris acknowledges red-state Democrats distancing

In an interview on MS Now’s State of Play, Kamala Harris said she expects some Democrats running in Republican-leaning states to keep their distance from her this fall. "We need to win. Bottom line, we need to win," she said. "I would expect nothing less."

She said candidates "know what they need to do" and that she supports them "doing whatever they need to do to win." She cited her experience running at the local, state and national level, and said she is not surprised if some do not want her endorsement or a campaign appearance.
