New Actor: Spokane Authorities Arrest Aaron Farinacci

Authorities in Spokane County arrested Aaron Farinacci, 37, on Monday on suspicion of starting the Old Trails Fire near Spokane, Washington.

The Old Trails Fire is the largest of three major wildfires burning around Spokane, and investigators believe this one was set intentionally.

Officials say more than 700 buildings across the Spokane area have been destroyed, and roughly 400 additional structures still haven’t been assessed.

Evacuations were ordered as the fires moved through neighborhoods, leaving some residents displaced while crews work to contain the flames.

Farinacci has a prior manslaughter conviction in Arizona, adding scrutiny to the case as detectives continue their investigation and damage assessments continue this week.
